Agave Muerto Clay was founded by Melina Lozano, a Mexican American potter currently based in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her ceramics are heavily inspired by the southwestern desert flora. This mug is specifically influenced by the agave, with it’s resilience and persevering ability to withstand it’s rugged environment. Each piece is crafted by hand and fired to over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Like agave, her work is made to last, crafted with the intention to bring the feeling of the desert to it’s user, regardless of location.
