Explore techniques for adding sculptural details and realistic adornments to ceramic pieces. Learn how to use sprig molds and apply and secure molded pieces onto work.
A sculptable leather hard clay heart base will be provided as well as additional clay for sculpting. Tools, boards and molds will be provided although workshop attendees may bring their own.
Workshop attendees may choose to bisque fire, the first firing of pottery, transforming fragile, bone-dry clay into a hard, porous ceramic. Pickup of fired pieces will be coordinated with the instructor at time of workshop. Allow two to three weeks for bisque firing after the workshop.
